How We Entered the New Year

Happy New Year’s!

Many people like to take this time to reflect on the year. For us, looking back is sometimes too painful knowing Soraya’s health is worse… but we do hold onto all the amazing trips and time with family.

With me still recovering from surgery, we had no big plans for NYE. Just sleep, rest, and be.

We decided to do an activity we received as a Christmas gift—Flying Wish Paper. We all shared at dinner what we hope for in 2025, wrote it down, and then lit the paper on fire to watch our wishes fly 🧚‍♀️

It was wonderful just being together and sending our wishes off into the world.

We had some common wishes amongst all of us:
-May Soraya not die sooner
-Be in our best health possible, physically and mentally
-Make more memories
-Health for our family members

Cheers to 2025 and hopes that our love will keep us going when we think we can’t endure much more. Grateful for all of our family, friends, and IG community ❤️

What are your wishes for 2025?
