What I’ve Learned in the Two Weeks Since My Surgery

I’m officially 2.5 weeks post op! There were a LOT of things I wasn’t expecting or just hadn’t thought about prior to surgery.

Some other things I didn’t share in this video…

-Implants are not “show ready” after surgery. There is (for me) significant bruising, and rippling

-My implants feel hard currently and it may take months to “settle” into how they will really look

-I never have felt worse about how I physically look AND I have never loved my husband more for bathing me and loving me at my worst

-I feel an ache in my heart seeing how I came out of this surgery weaker than Soraya and I am getting better and stronger… and she continues to be weak. The journey of surgical recovery is such a contrast while watching your child in hospice.

Taking things one step at a time and soaking up sweet moments like finally SHOWERING and having Soraya do my makeup.
