It’s Rare Disease Day!

February 29th is Rare Disease Day, the rarest day of the year!

The zebra is the mascot for rare disease patients because, in medicine, zebras represent uncommon answers. As one of 300 million people worldwide and their loved ones affected by a rare disease, I encourage you to learn about our journeys.

Celebrate the 1 in 10 Americans who live with a rare disease or disability today by reading some of their powerful stories collected by the National Organization for Rare Disorders.

Check out a bit of our story here: Meet the F5.

For us personally, it’s so hard to not have a diagnosis. Rare Disease Day is a day that we at least can be a part of. We can take a day and have a moment to bring awareness to other families that are like us ❤️
